Peschiera del Garda is a popular tourist and trading centre on the Olive Riviera, situated on the most southern and flattest point of Lake Garda, where the Mincio River begins its journey.
This famous Lake Garda resort has the typical appearance of an ancient military fort, with the town centre enclosed in the impressive walls and ramparts, completely surrounded by water. The oasis on the Frassino lake, with the XVI century Sanctuary, and the Mincio Valley are the ideal opportunity for pleasant walks or bike rides immersed in nature. A 40 km cycle track joins Peschiera with Mantua, following the Mincio River for a long stretch and crossing through the Mincio Park.
Wide long beaches and a fantastic pedestrian promenade that follows them among reed thickets, flowers, vegetation and trees, which offer natural shade to holidaymakers during the summer.
Lake Garda has the highest concentration of theme parks in Italy, many of them very close to Peschiera, funfairs, zoos, aquatic parks, for the joy of adults and children alike, are all easily reached in a few minutes by car or bus.
Peschiera del Garda is very easy to reach in various ways, the Venice-Milan rail line or the A4 motorway junction, while the ferry service from the port travels to the other locations around the lake. The Verona international airport is just 20 km away.
